This story takes place 3 years BEFORE the events of the novel, “Goddess of Flames”, and Ana was as hot-headed back then as she is now. Oh… and Carlo has a secret girlfriend.
Unfortunately, Carii is always lurking around somewhere, ready to torture his ex Ana until she comes back to him. Yeah, it doesn’t sound as weird to him as it does to us.
So on the day that celebrates love, what happens when two former lovers – now mortal enemies – collide on a battlefield of pain, heartbreak, loss… and murder?
The Story
Best friends Ana and Carlo just want to spend a leisurely afternoon hanging out while everyone else celebrates Valentine's Day.
But when they find a bloody abandoned cab during their stroll, there are clear indications that Carlo's new girlfriend Jenea may be in trouble.
All signs point to Carii, the poised, aloof demon who not only caused their initial transformation into demon hybrids...
... but heartbreak and unceasing torment has also transformed his ex Ana into the bitter fireball she is today.
Perhaps Carii is the one who should watch out...
