Who is Ana?

Ana tends to be more sarcastic and confrontational, in contrast to Naya’s peaceful and somewhat enigmatic demeanor and Carlo’s laid-back nature. It’s not her fault, though – she’s had it rough.

As an immigrant from South Korea, she’s had to endure years of abuse from a neglectful father willing to sell his soul for the “American Dream”, while trying to navigate cruel jabs and taunts from her classmates since the third grade. Alone and friendless, fate crossed her path with Carlo when they were 11, known only as “the foreign kids”, and both struggling with feeling like outcasts.

Carlo is more than her best friend – he was the person to introduce her to what a real family felt like. The one who tried to warn her away from the cute blond boy that kept promising her the world, the one who came to her rescue during her darkest hour… and the one who lost part of his humanity trying to protect her from Carii and Laraii.

Ana’s past with Carii is bittersweet; one she hates to revisit, yet he chooses to constantly torture her about. Their doomed love – and his ultimate betrayal – forced her to become what she is today. Only Naya’s intervention that horrific night saved her from turning into a complete demon.

She has pledged her allegiance to Naya’s cause, never hesitating to fight alongside her in their battle against the monstrous wave of demons overtaking their town.

Ana has the power to control fire in a combination with earth. Due to her intense efforts to learn her abilities and increase her powers, she can also “control” nearby foliage using her fires, compelling the plants to attack her enemies. However, she prefers hand-to-hand combat and tends to attack by using fiery clones of herself.
