Who is Luke?

The oldest of the three Carter siblings (Luke, Matt, and Shana Carter) and the love of Naya’s life. He’s extremely smart and athletic, and he wants to use those gifts to obtain a better life for himself and his family – starting with getting into a great college during his senior year.
As the oldest, he feels the pressure of seeing himself as “the man of the house” – the one who has to go the extra mile to help their single mother. As a result, he tends to inadvertently fall into the ex-facto “dad” role of the crew when shit hits the fan… even though has no idea what a good one looks like since his dad left when he was seven.
He is extremely religious and sometimes gets into arguments with his grandmother and younger sister Shana over their “Voodoo practicing”. He’s not judgmental – he just works really hard to try to be a good son, big brother, and good person in general.
Luke’s not perfect, of course. He embodies most characteristics of a flawed hero.
For example, he’s kind of a hypocrite when it comes to his little sister Shana, whom he is extremely protective over. Despite whatever his dating habits may look like, as far as he was concerned, she had better still be a virgin  – and he and Matt make sure to cockblock every guy in sight to “protect her virtue”.
Like his brother, Luke tends to be something of a womanizer. Religious as he is, he still sees women as “God’s gift to man” and likes to indulge in said “gifts” whenever the opportunity arises. However, this lust for the flesh could be Luke’s fatal flaw…
Upon moving to Roshaton, he finds himself attracted to two sisters.  He is drawn to the lovely and mysterious Naya, but she doesn’t seem to be feeling him for some reason, which wounds his ego a bit. However, Naya’s dangerously sexy sister Laraii always seems to be on deck, ready to repair his self-confidence… and tempting him with the dark powers she keeps promising to grant him.

Back in Philly, they were notorious for wooing girls with the romantic flair of modern-day Casanovas.  Both were tall and handsomely flawed, but in different ways.  Luke was the taller of the two, with large muscles from years of lifting weights.  He also had dark chocolate skin that was complemented by a sparkling white smile.

Luke perked up when he heard Naya's name. He tried not to get excited, but when he heard her soft, potent voice, then saw her in skintight jeans and a red halter that exposed a slender yet curvy body, he couldn't help it. He looked down and saw his fingers drumming a nervous beat on the desk, in perfect rhythm with his out-of-control heartbeat.
