Who is Carii?

Carii (pronounced “Car-REE-Eye”) is Laraii’s twin brother, Ana’s ex-lover, and a loyal servant of the dark. He exhibits a cold, yet dignified demeanor and takes great pride in being a demon, believing them to be superior to humans.
Carii is powerful, but not as strong as Naya and Laraii. He controls fire combined with the essence of lightning and, at his command, bolts of fire can appear from the sky.
His obsession with Ana – and “reclaiming her”, as he calls it – is what drives him. He is the one who began to turn Ana, only to have Naya intervene and save her. Carii still harbors a lot of resentment toward his “older sister” for that interference – and he plans to make her pay for it.

He was as handsome as she was gorgeous, with a preference for dark clothing to contrast their bright features, whereas Laraii tended to wear more brilliant colors.  Carii also had a chilly presence of aristocracy that accompanied him wherever he went.  Together, they were an intimidating pair.

Carii got up and calmly straightened his blue silk shirt and black tie.  He always dressed like he was going to church, even though he would never be caught dead in one.  Ana had a deep desire to kill him and make sure his funeral was held in the biggest church she could find.

Carii wondered what that scruffy-looking girl was doing in the woods at night. It wasn’t extremely dangerous yet, but last night he and his sister held a ceremony that increased the demon population dramatically. He didn’t feel inclined to protect this girl from that danger, yet was intrigued by her for some reason. He’d never seen someone look so… vulnerable and pathetic.
