RAJA RICHARDS

Novel: Raja’s Requiem

Genre: Fantasy/Speculative Fiction

Who is Raja?

Raja is a strong, naturally inquisitive, yet slightly cynical woman who, like many young people, did not expect to die when she did. Upon crossing over, she finds herself presented with the option to “enter the light”. However, her naturally suspicious and stubborn nature cause her to question her options and ultimately refuse entry… a rarity from the standpoint of those already in the spiritual realm.
Now back on Earth in her spiritual form, Raja has come to realize that there are a helluva lot more suspicious occurrences on the spiritual side than we know about… things we would definitely be giving the side-eye – if we actually knew about them.
In this action-packed, thought-provoking thriller, philosophical questions are not pondered, but confronted head-on, like:
  • What happens when we die?
  • Are you offered a chance to go into the light?
  • What if you refuse that offer? What then?
Raja can tell you. And what she’s found out about “the other side” may shock you.

No use beating around the bush.  Yeah, I’m dead. How long have I been dead? Well, even though I’m still dwelling on Earth, time is measured differently for me.  Sometimes, when I sleep, I’ll think only a day has gone by, only to find out months have. So, I usually check in on my family as a way to make sure they’re still okay and keep track of time. Based on the last time I saw my mom, I’m pretty sure three years have passed since I died.I know the questions some may have at this point: How did you die? Why are you “earthbound”? Have you been barred from heaven? What’s it like being a ghost?

Still, I was afraid. Afraid of the unknown. I’d come into the world alone, only to be surrounded by people who loved and cared about me for twenty-six years. Now, I was leaving alone, only to be surrounded with… what?
